Best eSIM for Thailand and Southeast Asia (2026)
Thailand is a top eSIM destination, and prices there are among the lowest in Asia. Whether you are spending a week in Bangkok or island-hopping for a month, here's what the main providers publish — and when a regional plan covering several Southeast Asian countries is the better buy.
Thailand: single-country plans
Unlimited-by-day
| Days | Airalo (dtac) | Holafly (True / DTAC) |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | $9.50 | $11.90 |
| 5 | $15.00 | $20.50 |
| 7 | $21.00 | $27.50 |
| 10 | $31.00 | $36.50 |
| 15 | $39.00 | $50.50 |
| 30 | $49.00 | $73.90 |
For Thailand specifically, Airalo's published unlimited prices were noticeably lower than Holafly's at every trip length we looked at. Saily also offers an unlimited Thailand plan priced by duration (15 days was shown at $38.99).
Small fixed-data plans
Saily lists Thailand plans from $2.99 for 1 GB over 7 days, and $5.99 for 3 GB over 30 days. For a short trip where you mostly use Wi-Fi, that's hard to beat.

Calls and texts
Most travel eSIMs are data-only. Nomad's help center notes that Thailand is one of the few destinations (with the UK and the Maldives) where some of its plans include calls and texts. Saily sells an optional US number with call and text plans. If you need a Thai number for local deliveries or bookings, a local SIM from a Thai operator is still the most direct route.
Multiple countries? Consider a regional plan
Airalo's Thailand page points to its Asia regional packages "from $4.00". Saily's "Asia and Oceania" plan starts from $4.99 and covers 22 countries. Holafly says its Southeast Asia eSIM includes both Singapore and Thailand. Before buying, confirm every country on your route is in the plan; Saily, for example, notes its Thailand plan does not cover Malaysia.
| Trip | Usually sensible |
|---|---|
| Thailand only, ≤ 1 week, light use | Small fixed plan (1–3 GB) |
| Thailand only, heavy use | Unlimited single-country plan |
| Thailand + 1–2 neighbors | Compare a regional plan vs. two single-country plans |
| Long multi-country backpacking | Regional plan with top-ups |
Practical notes
- Holafly warns that coverage may be weaker in jungles, small islands and on sea crossings, naming Khao Sok National Park as an example. Download offline maps before ferry days.
- Saily notes its plans activate automatically when you arrive, as long as the eSIM line is on and roaming is enabled.
- Keep your home SIM installed so you can receive bank one-time codes by SMS (data roaming off on that line).
